Oakfield Commmunity Centre Afterschool Club

Our Club has been operating since 2003 and children from all primary schools in Carrickfergus attend. To ensure that the children are familiar with their carers we send the same staff from day to day while having many more staff to call on if needed and there is also a named Supervisor. We have at least two members of staff on site at all times.

We provide a pickup service from all local schools.

Children come to our club to have fun while socialising with their friends. There is time for just taking it easy and playing with toys and each other, however we also have regular organised physical team games as well so that they can let off a bit of steam if they want.

We also offer the children internet that is strictly supervised (for example restricting access to any harmful web sites). There are also contemporary games such as a Wii and PlayStation.

An afternoon break is always provided.

During school holidays our children normally team up with our other afterschool club at Acorn Integrated Primary School and there is both a morning and afternoon break but would ask that they bring a packed meal for lunch.
