Our Staff

We are a team of over 30 enthusiastic people caring for our children.

Every room or afterschool facility has a supervisor who takes personal responsibility for their room and children, plans and gets involved in activities, oversees the work of the assistant care workers and looks out for the safety and welfare of the children under care.

Working in close harmony with Supervisors are our care assistants, who get the opportunity to experience working with all age groups. We think it is best that they stay largely in a particular room or afterschool club so that the children feel comfortable with staff and the staff members really get to know the children they work with.

Jaclyn is the Jollytots Manager. She has been working in Childcare for over 15 years both in the private and public sector. Jaclyn is very keen on developing the professional development of both herself and the staff in Jollytots as she feels this provides a positive impact for the children in her care. She also firmly believes that education begins at home and that it is extremely important for nursery and parents to have close positive relationships. There are several heart charities that Jaclyn has been associated with and helped with for many years. She lives in Ballycarry with her partner and two children Lucy 19 and Rachel 16.

My name is Samantha McMurray but I am known as Sam. I graduated from Liverpool Hope University in 2012 with BA combined honours in Early childhood studies and education studies. Since then I have worked in all aspects of Private Day care from babys right through to after schools and experience in working within a DENI funded Nursery school. My experience has given me insight to ensure children receive the highest level of care and to make sure they get the best start in life.
